School Kid

Can you guess how old/young I am? From historical statistics and if there were no hints given away, there's only about 1 or 2 out of 10 who would be able to guess it right. This is just one of the innumerable reasons why I am forever grateful to my parents for - passing on a set of genes that ages slowly. Plus (more of a 'minus'), the fact that I am tiny helps in more ways than one in that criteria.

I remember a few encounters with my cousins, who were then in their 2nd or 3rd grade and whom I didn't see a lot, asking for my age. They were debating on whether I was still in high school or already in college. To their dismay, I answered "I'm done with schooling and am now working." The reaction still puts a smile on my face. And why should it not? :)

The photos below are from my meeting with 2 old colleagues on Wednesday.

The shoes can dictate your outfit's style. To tone down the polished look the chiffon top and the paper shorts ensemble make together, I chose to wear a pair of sneakers. And, I love the gold trimmings on my bag which match the gold closure on my belt.

The bag was purchased in November 2010 while I was in the heat of shopping for Christmas presents. It's just so hard to go home without buying something for yourself. :)  And, to make it even more difficult to resist are Miss Veronica's bags! Most, if not all, of their bags and clothes which are vintage-inspired but 100% brand new are designed by the owners, Kat & Hannah. They will be at the SuperSale Bazaar at Rockwell Tent from January 14-16. You MUST check them out! :)

On another note..
Ever since I got a taste of Parvati's rose-flavored and lavender-flavored polvoron, I knew I was hooked! I'm not one for sweets (well, I only binge on dark chocolate as it's a lot less sweeter than the milk chocolate ones, and of course, my comfort-happy food - ice cream!), but how can I say no to this lovely little rich chocolate cake?

Like I said, no sweet tooth here so a fourth of it was more than enough for me. But it was heavenly! It went perfect with a cup of green and mint tea. :)

Enjoy the weekend! :)

Oh btw, I applied the Pale Lilac lipgloss on the middle part of my bottom lip to give the effect of a better pout :)
