Weekend With Family

So far, most of the weekends since late March to this date were spent with family. Let the few photos below speak about some of our gastronomic adventures and etc.

Saturday bowling. All we wanted was one usually quiet game or two. We didn't know that the bowling lanes are transformed into a disco/galaxy-themed party house (with glow-in-the-dark pins) on a Saturday night. Not sure though if this was only for that particular day.

If the photo above were only a video, you would have experienced a one-of-a-kind sports adventure!

Getaway In & Out Of The City

Coupled with a few things here and there are some weekend getaway with the family. So sorry (especially to Hazel), I did not update immediately.

In the next few scroll-downs are photos from recent trips (not chronological).

Caliraya Recreation Center, late March
A bit gloomy but still a lovely morning. :)

Museum, 2nd week April
I can't say where this is because, after taking about 5 pictures, I found out photo-taking was not allowed. :(

Tagaytay City, 2nd week April
Great view of the Taal Volcano and Lake from the Picnic Grove. :)

Experience the zipline! The one in Caliraya is more recommended. :)

How are you enjoying the summer, so far? :)

For Your Tummy V

I grow a monster that must be fed every 4 hours. So when I stay up late, I make myself midnight snacks that would prevent the grumbling until morning. :)

Last night, I had homemade pizza! Allow me to share the steps, which are VERY easy, by the way! :)

These are the ingredients used for my first homemade pizza which only took 30min including preparation:
~bread
~mushroom
~sweet ham
~tomato sauce
~quick-melting cheese
~powdered black pepper

1. Slather a good amount of tomato sauce on the bread. Sprinkle a pinch of powdered black pepper (I add this onto almost anything I cook/make!)

2. Now be generous and add slices of sweet ham and mushroom.

3. Top it, load it. With cheese! And more cheese! :)

Yummmy!!! :)

Any easy recipes of mouth-watering snacks/dishes/desserts you can share? Thanks in advance! :)

Repeat Outfits

If it seems like the 1st outfit below looks familiar, it is because I have worn it here. This denim shirt is most definitely one of my faves and certainly a must-have. It will never go out of style!

Two ways to wear this versatile piece.

Casually for work:

top: terranova
bottom: kids of bayo
belt: cole vintage
shoes: aldo

Or, for a weekend stroll in a museum. hehe :)

If only this photo had good quality, it would have shown you a better capture of the china collection.
And of course, of how coordinated my outfit color was with everything around me in the room. :)
top: terranova
shoes: gingersnaps
bag: egg

I really have to begin carrying a camera with me for better shots.

Have a blessed Tuesday, everyone! :)

Don't Skirt Change

Here is a top I purchased 3 days ago. Got sidetracked by the lovely trimmings of the shirt's sleeves while scouring for storage/organizer boxes. :)

I didn't buy this on a whim. This time, I used the best advice received when it comes to shopping. Let at least a couple of days pass before deciding on whether or not to buy. Unless, it's a necessity. This gave me time to think through if it would go well with most of the existing pieces in my closet. It has indeed helped me lessen impulsively acquired useless items, so far. :)

From my growing wardrobe are these skirts bought more than 6 months ago (or nearly a year) yet worn only now for this blog post!

top: seventeen
skirt: just g
necklace: aldo
belt: forever21
shoes: pill

skirts: olivia & fifth

Initially planned to make the above two shots to look as if I never moved but I'm not so sure why I forgot to smile and look at the camera on the 2nd shot. Epic fail! LOL :)

Now, please help. Remember the boots? Still selling! :)

Hope you're enjoying Sunday! :)

Black Rainbow

It's been a long time! And no, I have not had any luck in recording the video yet. Sorry. :(

And I have been kept busy. The past week started my obsession with organizing. My closet, to be specific. Like most of you, I have a cabinet that's literally about to explode. For the same reason, I'm sure! :) I knew I had to do something about it and last week was when the responsibility kicked in. For now, though, I'll leave it to your imagination but I promise to show you the outcome when it's done. :)

In the meantime, here's a lame (as compared to others') blackened color blocking.

inner: dickies
top: just g
skirt: bazaar
slippers: ipanema

Can you see the pink inner? The skirt is somewhat neon. Maybe because it's actually bright apple green. I love the color! Will take a better photo the first chance I get. :) My toenails, which cannot be seen in this photo, were painted purple.♥

My Ipanema slippers have proven sturdiness over a period of about 3 years. Honestly, I won't weep if it decides to retire. It's served its purpose very well. :)

It's weekend and I'm torn - hiking with husband or out-of-town day trip with relatives?

Enjoy your weekend! :)
