Random Shots

Just random shots I'm browsing through right now. These are photos from our trip to Japan last April 2010. Hoping for another one this year. :)

It is not a joke when I tell people who ask that the highlight of my Japan springs is always the food! Each penny spent on it was worth it! All the more enjoyable is if you know where to get the cheapest finds - food, clothes, etc.

In Japan, customer relationship is VERY important. The people are reliant on oral publicity. Therefore, the successful businesses are those that have capitalized on their customers' word-of-mouth.

Here are some photos from the trip.

If our country's government offices were just as organized and as clean,
then it's one big hassle-free experience for all. Not very busy for a city hall, eh?
I also find it thoughtful that they built a small play area [with cute all-wooden toys!]
in the corner for clients who came with kids.

These are flower pots that you can
borrow at a cemetery's entrance.

This is a temple along a main road
which we pass by very often.

I joked to my colleagues that I was not going back home
any more because my restaurant already opened. Wishful! :)

This is cute! Eventually, I realized that it is
actually more for the function than aesthetics that
they display prototypes like this.

I forgot what and where this was. But I remember it was yummy! :)
That bowl is about 4 times the size of a regular one in chowking.

 Something to ponder:
"If Americans feed their babies with little spoons/forks,
do Chinese feed their babies with toothpicks?" Corny! :)

Mangga is not only for the young. A bookstore can be found
in the nooks and crannies of even the smallest community.

This is called a mook. A book with a look, design and layout of a magazine.
When I found out that they were boxed because each
came with a freebie from the brand, I was dazed!
This photo reminds me of my biggest regret. I should have hoarded!

Hope you enjoyed it. More soon. :)
